Join Jonas Katona, a Yale Ph.D. student and UC Berkeley summa cum laude graduate, and Rai Kahlon, a U.S. Presidential Scholar, Coca-Cola Scholar, and Regeneron STS Top 40 Finalist, as they break down exactly what to do after ISEF.

They'll cover how to decide whether to publish your research or pursue a different path, how to evaluate whether to continue or evolve your project for next year, and how to translate your science fair experience into a compelling college application.

Whether you just competed for the first time or are a returning finalist looking to maximize what you've built, this session will show you how to turn your ISEF experience into lasting momentum.

Jonas Katona

Jonas is a Ph.D. student in Applied & Computational Mathematics at Yale University. He holds a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from UC Berkeley (2020), graduating cum laude with the highest departmental honors.

Some of his academic interests include numerical analysis, data analysis, several subfields of dynamics and mechanics (esp. fluids and nonlinear dynamics), PDEs, ODEs, and inverse problems.

He was a recipient of the prestigious Regents' and Chancellor's Scholarship, which is awarded to roughly 2.5% of incoming students.

He now serves as an Indigo Research Mentor.

Amanrai Kahlon

Rai is a second-year Neuroscience student at the University of Pennsylvania with a Wharton minor in Healthcare Management. He conducts cerebrovascular neurosurgery research at the Perelman School of Medicine, focusing on cerebrovascular conditions and machine learning applications.
He's a U.S. Presidential Scholar and top-40 Regeneron Science Talent Search finalist. His high school research in biomechanics has resulted in peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences.
He's also a ScienceFair mentor.

Alex Yu

Alex is an Academic Advisor at Indigo Research.
He did a BSc at the University of Toronto in Statistics and Mathematics, and has a master's degree in Project Management from Northeastern University.

With a background in science and engineering and practical experience in business projects, he integrates data logic with academic planning, tailoring in-depth and competitive academic pathways for students. How ScienceFair Works

ScienceFair is a high-touch science fair coaching program built for students who want real competitive outcomes. Our students have earned $75,000+ in merit-based STEM scholarships and awards, and are up to 40× more likely to qualify for ISEF and nearly 3× more likely to win compared to the global average. We pair students with past ISEF winners who guide them through project ideation, research design, and judge-focused presentation.
