Samyra is a Chemistry major at Yale University and a ScienceFair Mentor. She is a two-time ISEF Grand Award winner in Materials Science, placing second in 2025 and third in 2024, and she has earned recognition in competitions including NY’s JSHS, MIT THINK, and Toshiba Exploravision.

She currently conducts research in Yale’s Pfefferle Group and has previous research experience at the University of Granada’s Metal_DNA Lab and NYU. She is an author on a Nature Communications paper on DNA architectures, with independent research on metallated DNA triplexes underway for publication.
